Mingara Recreation Club today announced their on going support to the Central Coast Academy of Sport through a new two year Business Partnership. Mingara’s support to the Central Coast Academy of Sport will exceed fourteen years when this current agreement concludes.

In a world where quick commercialism and the all too evident disposable society is commonly on show, this long standing partnership has and continues to defy sponsorship trends. A partnership built on mutual obligations in terms of delivery of benefits to their respective clients and the willingness to work to assist the other are the core reasons this relationship has lasted the test of time.

Sponsorship in sport can sometimes be looked upon like a retail store with high volume turnover. Rights holders always seeking to attract a better deal, and those purchasing the rights, doing everything they can to drive a better bargain for the dollar spent.

Mingara is a proud founding partner (2004) of the Central Coast Academy of Sport and have since day one provided a level of support that allows the CCAS to be regarded as one of the regions most valuable community assets. It has often been said that without Mingara the Central Coast Academy of Sport does not exist in the form it does.

Ian Robilliard the CCAS Managing Director said of the new business partnership with Mingara: “Mingara have a vision of ‘making a significant contribution to the quality of community life’, and the support provided by this partnership certainly supports the community endeavours of Mingara through the many programs and event operated by the Central Coast Academy of Sport. Without Mingara we could not offer the array of sporting programs and events we currently do. I would like to thank Chairman Phil Walker, Group CEO Paul Barnett, Mingara General Manager Daniel Pinkstone and the great number of people at Mingara whether at the track, pool, gymnasium that all have important touch points with both the CCAS and our athletes. This level of support allows the Central Coast to continue to punch well above our weight in terms of competitiveness with other regional academies and much of our success can be traced to the incredible support Mingara provides”.

Paul Barnett CEO of Mingara Leisure Group said of the renewed partnership, “we are proud to have the opportunity to be able to assist upcoming athletes on the Central Coast, who have a committed focus to be the best athletes they can be. CCAS understands the technical, physical, mental and tactical traits required for these athletes to reach their full potential.”
