The Central Coast Academy of Sport Is proud to announce the beginning of its first Tenpin Bowling Program. This program is aimed to further individual’s skill development and assist the athletes with their chances of state selection to compete in the Australian Junior Nationals and the Interstate Presidents Shield competition, which may lead into selection of higher honors such as the Australian Junior team.
The Central Coast Academy of Sport Tenpin Bowling Program is officially underway with the 4 member squad meeting at Gosford City Bowl on the 30th of October to receive uniforms and welcome packs before beginning training with future aims to compete in the ClubsNSW Academy Games in April 2017.
The Central Coast Academy of Sport 2016-17 Tenpin Bowling program has a close association with the governing body of Tenpin Bowling NSW, plus a valued partnership with Interbowl Australia, Gosford City Bowl and Bateau Bay Tenpin Bowling aimed to help athlete development.
Coach Dave Brooker said of the program, “I am really excited to be involved in the first year of this program, and I look forward to working with the athletes to help improve their game to hopefully get selected for representative honors and help the sport of Tenpin Bowling grow on the Central Coast.”
Similarly Interbowl Australia Representative Daniel Webb stated, “ I am quite excited to be a part of this program and through our affiliation with the Central Coast Academy of sport. This program will be a great opportunity for us to grow the sport in the Central Coast area and provide a crucial step in the developmental pathway for our young bowlers. Hopefully with a successful program, our partnership with Central Coast Academy of Sport, Gosford City Bowl and Bateau Bay Tenpin Bowling can produce a future champion or star of the game”.
