Three talented umpires from around the Central Coast have joined the Central Coast Academy of Sport Netball Umpiring Program.

The program launched for 2016 last night at Mingara Recreation Club, to celebrate a challenging and exciting upcoming season of learning and development.

The umpiring program is aimed at providing the three (3) athletes, Mia Dettmer, Sharmila Schumacher and Samara Watson, a training and development opportunity to work toward their National B Badge.

The girls will be representing the Central Coast Academy of Sport at the upcoming ClubsNSW Academy Games next weekend.

The Central Coast Academy of Sport is honoured to welcome back Lauren Hill as Head Coach of the program, Lauren is talented and insightful as both an athlete and a coach, and was integral to the program’s launch in 2009.

The program is also incredibly grateful to have Kate Farthing and Louise Rennie onboard as development coaches who will be mentoring athletes and continuing to develop their own umpiring skills throughout the year.

The girls are fortunate enough to train a professional venue at the Central Coast Grammar School along with the Academy’s netball squad.

The Central Coast Academy of Sport netball umpiring program runs in conjunction with the Central Coast Academy of Sport Greater Netball Program and is supported by Netball NSW.

The Central Coast Academy of Sport would like to thank and acknowledge the support received from the following Business Partners:
