Ryder Cup Comes To Magenta Shores

THE Central Coast Academy of Sport and the Hunter Academy of Sport will meet this month to compete against each other at the Inaugural Inter Academy Challenge Trophy to be held at Magenta Shores Golf and Country Club.

The Format for the event will be ‘Ryder Cup’, with teams from the Central Coast Academy of Sport coming up against teams from the Hunter Academy of Sport. Teams of two, one Academy Golf Squad member plus a guest of their choice will compete against a team from the opposing Academy. Guests must hold an Australia Golflink handicap.

The Inter Academy Challenge will be held on Tuesday 19th January 2016 at Magenta Shores Golf and Country Club with registration at 8 am and will tee off at 9 am. The format is as follows: The first six holes is the best ball of the pair based on handicap, the next 12 holes handicaps are combined with holes 7 to 12 a two ball Ambrose and holes 13 to 18 foursomes alternate shots, modeled off the Ryder Cup this promises to be an outstanding event, the first of its kind in Australia.
