There’s only two weeks to go on the countdown to the 2016 ClubsNSW Academy Games.

Regional Academy’s across NSW will be making their way to the Central Coast to compete in a fierce three day event.

It is a chance for up and coming athletes from all over NSW to showcase their talent, development and skills across six (6) different sports.

For the second year running, the ClubsNSW Academy Games will be hosted by the Central Coast Academy of Sport who showcased their ability to put on an impressive weekend of competition in 2015.

Various venues all over the Central Coast will play host over 700 talented athletes competing in several sports; including basketball, golf, hockey, netball, triathlon and surfing.

The ClubsNSW Academy Games will kick off on Friday 8 April with the opening ceremony at Scholastic Sports Stadium, where athletes, coaches, sponsors and the like will all gather to discuss their excitement, nervousness and hopes for an incredible three (3) days of competition.

Coordinator of this years ClubsNSW Games, Emily Burgess-Moore, said “with so many talented athletes across NSW it is such an exciting opportunity for us to host them here on the Central Coast. We are thrilled to be able to hold this competition at top class venues all over the Central Coast. We are looking forward to another great three days of competition and can’t wait to see some fantastic results.”

Burgess-Moore, the staff and volunteers at the Central Coast Academy of Sport have been working tirelessly to make sure that this huge weekend is an incredible experience for both athletes and supporters alike.

For the first time this year, the ClubsNSW Academy Games is proud to announce that surfing will be included in the list of represented sports, with a surfing exhibition to take place over the course of the weekend.
