The Central Coast Academy of Sport (CCAS) is delighted to announce that Crowne Plaza Terrigal will continue their important support to the CCAS Surfing Program.

Crowne Plaza Terrigal has been a proud sponsor of CCAS since the organisations foundation in 2004; Crowne Plaza Terrigal was the official naming sponsor of the CCAS surfing program. The Crowne Plaza Terrigal Surfing Program has produced some exceptional surfers and there is no doubt the continued support by the hotel will see the ongoing development of a sport that has produced many of the world’s leading surfers.

Crowne Plaza Terrigal is a leading hotel on the Central Coast, committed to providing guests with outstanding service and facilities. In the recent 2016 Tourism Accommodation Awards (NSW), Crowne Plaza Terrigal received a Highly Commended Award for Outstanding Community Service and Achievement. The hotel is proud to have such a close community connection via the Central Coast Academy of Sport.

Along with their support for the surfing program, Crowne Plaza Terrigal also sponsors the CCAS Future Stars Program. The Future Stars program provides individual development opportunities and support to aspiring athletes from sports that are not already offered by the CCAS. Past athletes from the program such as Matt Dawson and Josh English have gone on to great heights following their participation in the program. It’s expected that more athletes will follow in these well-worn paths to greatness due to the support of Crowne Plaza Terrigal.

Lachlan Walker, General Manager of Crowne Plaza Terrigal said of the partnership “We enjoy having the opportunity to work with the Central Coast Academy of Sport and their members. To think our partnership has been going for over 10 years now is really quite amazing. I think it’s important to be part of the local community and am especially pleased to be able to support programs that help young athletes and surfers to achieve their dreams.”

Ian Robilliard, Managing Director of the Central Coast Academy of Sport, said of the partnership: “Crowne Plaza Terrigal is an organisation fully committed to their role within the community. Central Coast Academy of Sport is delighted to be a vehicle for Crowne Plaza Terrigal to further demonstrate their community support within the region. I look forward to watching the development of the next generation of sporting stars and this multiple year deal will certainly allow the Academy to be ahead of the pack in terms of talent identification.”

The Central Coast Academy of Sports would like to thank and acknowledge the support received from the following Business Partners:

NSW Government, The University of Newcastle, Mingara Recreation Club, Greater Bank, NBN Television, Oddball Marketing, Southern Cross Austereo (101.3 Sea FM and 107.7 2GO), Central Coast Council.
