JNJG provides a golf curriculum and skill modules to support the Central Coast Academy of Sport Golf Program. The modules cover skill components, core skill testing procedures, drills and reporting protocols for all scholarship athletes.
The aim of the Central Coast Academy of Sport Golf Program is to provide aspiring young male and female golfers of the NSW Central Coast region with genuine opportunities and support to up-skill across all areas of the sport, gain educational and personal development both on and off the course, and to enhance their prospects of progressing further in the development pathway.

Selection Process
The Central Coast Academy of Sport, through the Central Coast District Golf Association, provides Central Coast local golf clubs with information regarding scholarship opportunities within the annual Central Coast Academy of Sport Callaway Golf Program.
It is the responsibility of local Central Coast golf clubs to approach and nominate suitable athletes from within their club to apply for a scholarship position with the Central Coast Academy of Sport.
Each athlete identified will be assessed and if successful will gain selection to the squad, each athlete must be endorsed by their local club as a suitable representative of the club and worthy of a place within the Central Coast Academy of Sport Golf Program.
Athlete Benefits
The program fee ($350 +GST) covers: athletes selected to the program will receive a minimum of 30 hours on-course training through a professional regular training schedule based program with an increased focus on error identification & correction, technology for superior golf, skill development, off course education, personal development and playing opportunities where athletes will represent the Central Coast Academy of Sport at annual major events including the Your Local Club Academy Games (Selected Squad) & Inter Academy Challenges
Scholarship athletes will also receive a CCAS merchandise kit (cost $100 +GST), this includes 2 x polo shirts, crew socks, hat and backpack.
The Pathway
Athletes are selected from local Central Coast golf clubs and in partnership with Jack Newton Junior golf athletes may be approached directly due to knowledge of performance from JNJG. This program is supported and endorsed by both JNJG and Golf NSW. Athletes wishing to advance on the golf athlete performance pathway are strongly encouraged to attend this program, the CCAS Golf program will be seen as a critical step in the pathway.
Eligibility
The Central Coast Academy of Sport Golf Program is open to male and female junior golfers aged 12 to 17 years, who are permanent residents of the NSW Central Coast and who are financial members of a local Central Coast golf club. Applicants must have a valid golf link number.
Preferred Handicaps for males are a handicap of 12 or under, this is preferred not an absolute number to limit applicants. Preferred handicaps for females is 18 and under, again this is preferred not an absolute number.
All applicants will be considered on merit and potential, noting athletes who are genuinely committed to the program will be considered closely.
