The Central Coast Academy of Sport Golf Program operates in partnership with Jack Newton Junior Golf (JNJG) to support the development of pre-elite junior golfers in a local setting.
JNJG provides a golf curriculum and skill modules to support the Central Coast Academy of Sport Golf Program. The modules cover skill components, core skill testing procedures, drills and reporting protocols for all scholarship athletes.
The aim of the Central Coast Academy of Sport Golf Program is to provide aspiring young male and female golfers of the Hunter region with genuine opportunities and support to up-skill across all areas of the sport, gain educational and personal development both on and off the course, and to enhance their prospects of progressing further in the development pathway.
Athletes are selected from local Central Coast golf clubs and in partnership with Jack Newton Junior golf. Athletes may be approached directly due to knowledge of performance from JNJG. This program is supported and endorsed by both JNJG and Golf NSW.
Athletes wishing to advance on the golf athlete performance pathway are strongly encouraged to attend this program. The CCAS Golf program will be seen as a critical step in the pathway.

Applicants must have a valid golf link number.
Preferred Handicaps for males are a handicap of 12 or under, this is preferred not an absolute number to limit applicants. Preferred handicaps for females is 18 and under, again this is preferred not an absolute number.
All applicants will be considered on merit and potential, noting athletes who are genuinely committed to the program will be considered closely.
Please note that this year, team selections will involve a smaller squad. This approach allows us to provide more individualised focus and support for each selected athlete. The reduced squad size will help enhance the quality of coaching and development opportunities.
We encourage all interested athletes to submit their registration for consideration. Please be aware that with limited spots available, the selection process will be more competitive than in previous years.
