The CCAS Crowne Plaza Terrigal Pacific Triathlon Program exists to provide a unique opportunity for local triathletes to gain further individual skill and personal development that will assist them in gaining higher representative selection in the sport of Triathlon.

The CCAS Crowne Plaza Terrigal Pacific Triathlon program is a part of the Triathlon New South Wales development pathway and has been designed, along with other NSW Regional Academy triathlon programs, to bridge the gap between local and club representation and the Triathlon New South Wales Junior Development Squad.

 

The Central Coast Academy of Sport Triathlon program is a part of the Triathlon New South Wales development pathway and has been designed, along with other NSW Regional Academy triathlon programs, to bridge the gap between local and club representation and the Triathlon New South Wales Junior Development Squad.

The aim of the program being for athletes to progress into higher level squads through the the Triathlon NSW and Triathlon Australia Pathway.

 

 

CCAS Triathlon athletes will have access to the following benefits:

  • Opportunity to Join Inter-Academy Training Camp Tour

  • Squad Training Sessions with CCAS and Other Academy Triathlon Squads

  • 3-Month Mingara Gym, Track and Pool Pass

– Athletes must be between 13 and 18 years of age (as of 31st December 2026)

– Currently reside within Central Coast Council LGA

– Be committed to progressing to higher representation within the sport of triathlon

– Possess strong skills and performance levels in either cycling, middle/long distance running or swimming will also be considered.

– Current or willing to become a member of Central Coast Triathlon Club.

Each applicant is reviewed by an independent selected panel of coaches, administrators and invited representatives. The CCAS decision/s regarding athlete selection is based on objective and subjective measures and the CCAS hold final responsibility for the selection of athletes.

Robyn Low-Hart

Robyn is an exceptionally qualified triathlon coach, holding a Performance Coach qualification in Triathlon, a Level 2 certification in Strength and Conditioning, and a Development Coaching License in Swimming. These credentials greatly enhance her coaching expertise in the sport of triathlon. For the past seven years, Robyn has served as the Head Coach of the CCAS Crowne Plaza Triathlon program, where she has been instrumental in promoting the sport among juniors at all levels in the region. Her coaching philosophy focuses on skill acquisition, development, and fostering lifelong active lifestyle choices. Robyn still competes in the sport of triathlon, making Australia Age group teams.

Tia Hart

Tia has been an athlete in the Triathlon Pathways for seven years. During this time, she has competed nationally, made the NSW State Team, and qualified for the Australian Age Group Teams. Currently studying Physiotherapy, Tia is also giving back to the sport as an assistant coach in the CCAS Triathlon Program for the second year. Her expertise in Physiotherapy and as a Sports Trainer, combined with her experience as a pre-elite athlete, is a valuable addition to the program. Tia’s dedication and passion for triathlon make her an inspiring role model for aspiring athletes.
