The CCAS Crowne Plaza Terrigal Pacific Future Star Program exists to provide elite and endeavoring athletes with the opportunity to access a holistic approach to high performance services from within the NSW Central Coast region.

Athletes from all sports are welcome to apply, whether or not their sport is part of a Central Coast Academy program. This holistic development program focuses on enhancing athletes’ overall performance and wellbeing through individualised strength and conditioning, movement screening, sports psychology, nutrition, and goal setting. It provides expert support to complement home coaches, delivering sports science and wellness services that sit alongside regular skill-based training.

The CCAS Crowne Plaza Terrigal Pacific Future Star Program scholarship holders receive the following benefits:

  • Access to CCAS selected High Performance S&C Sessions with qualified Strength and Conditioning coaches, over September – June.
  • Periodised Gym programs tailored to the individual athlete.
  • Media promotion through CCAS media channels.
  • Access to our Athlete Management System (AMS) Lumin, which can be used to monitor training load and athlete well-being.
  • Athlete Education in Topics such as Nutrition, Sports Psychology, Motivation, Leadership, and Load Management
  • A CCAS uniform kit.
  • FMS Testing and feedback
  • Access to our recommended health providers eg. Psychologists and Physios (Coast Sport)

We encourage each athlete to use as many of the additional optional benefits as possible that are on offer to gain maximum benefit from the scholarship.

  • Athletes must be representing their chosen sport at a required pre-elite level (regional / state / national representation)
  • Athletes must be aged between 12 & 25 years of age
  • Athletes must reside within the Central Coast Region of NSW
  • Athletes must show a desire to improve and progress in their chosen sport’s elite athlete pathway
  • Athletes must be participating in a sport outside that of the current CCAS sport programs OR must be outside the applicable age of a particular CCAS sport program (e.g. CCAS Basketball program is open to athletes aged 16 & under, therefore an athlete aged 17-25 is eligible to apply for a future stars scholarship as they are ineligible for selection within the basketball program.

Athletes will be assessed against 3 broad criteria:

  • Achievement at a Regional/State/National level relative to the athlete’s chosen sport
  • Endorsement from A Regional Academy / State Sporting Organisation or National Sporting Organisation
  • Case by case assessment on potential talent and pathway progression
