The Central Coast Academy of Sport Aussie Rules program is an off season skills development program.

The CCAS Program will focus on developing athletes between the ages U17, U15 and U13. Selected athletes will develop skills that are required to enhance their performance and knowledge of the game.

Please note: this program is not affiliated with the AFL NSW/ACT pathway and exists as a skills development program only

The following benefits will apply to those selected in the AFL program:
  • Eight face to face training sessions (kicking, handball, tackle technique and game play)
  • Education in Topics such as: Physiotherapy, Strength & Conditioning, Sports Psychology & Nutrition
  • Inter-Academy Sessions with Central Coast Academy of Sport
  • 2 field trip/training sessions at either GWS or Swans training facilities
  • On field Strength and Conditioning sessions (agility, running, coordination and strength)
  • CCAS training uniform
To be eligible to apply for a trial for selection to the CCAS Team the following applies:
  • Males & Females:
    17 years, (2007, 2008)
    15 years (2009, 2010)
    13 years (2011, 2012)
    There will be both a Male and Female squad selected
  • Reside within the Central Coast Local Government Area (LGA)
  • Attend school within the Central Coast Region.
  • Be a registered player with a local AFL club/association.
