APRIL 2019, The Central Coast Academy of Sport is generally associated with some of the best up and coming athletic talent from our highly successful sporting region, but it doesn’t happen by chance.

In order to produce above average athletes, it is essential they are supported by the very best available coaches and it is here the CCAS is set to add another important ‘cog’ to the offerings of the organisation.

Coach education and development is a clear focus of the Central Coast Academy of Sport, written into the organisations new strategic development plan, 2019 promises to be a watershed year in this area.

In order to provide a meaningful coach education program you require a funding base.  Bishop Collins Chartered Accountants is readily associated with accounting and audit standards but their willingness to support the CCAS in a coach education program now provides the organisation with a level of dedicated support not previously available.  The program to be known as the Bishop Collins Coach Education program will take flight during the staging of the annual Your Local Club Academy Games.  Bishop Collins will support every CCAS coach during the Academy Games and by doing so provides essential support to the many volunteer coaches of the CCAS.  A coach education program is set to be delivered to the CCAS Coaches as part of the Your Local Clubs Academy Games, this too is a first for the CCAS.

Throughout the community Bishop Collins are very well connected.  Bishop Collins are true to their values of collaboration and helpfulness.  Bishop Collins are known for the depth of support across many areas in the not-for-profit sector, support to organisations such as Westpac Rescue Helicopter, the Marching Koalas, Central Coast Group Training, Gosford Netball Association, and Jeans for Genes day are examples of their connection to community assets.

Ian Robilliard the Managing Director of the Central Coast Academy of Sport said of Coach Education Program; “Coach education is a key initiative for the year ahead and to receive financial support to help our volunteer coaches is a really pleasing announcement so early in the sporting year.  To be able to support our volunteer coaches is really important and by doing so it will help the CCAS maintain our lofty position in sport, as an aside, Bishop Collins will be an active partner to our annual golf day which is scheduled for Friday 17 May so this too is an important development of the organisation. All CCAS coaches attending the Academy Games will be directly supported by Bishop Collins.”
