The program provides performance support elements to complement existing training and competition to improve athlete development with a view to:

Hunter Academy is one of five Regional Academies of Sport supporting newly established Surf Life Saving NSW Surf Sport Academies which seek to underpin future athlete and coach development in NSW.

Strength & Conditioning:
To be eligible for selection into the RAS/CCAS Surf Lifesaving Program athletes must be identified and invited by Surf Life Saving NSW.
Regional athletes have been selected 15-17 years of age and connected to their closest Regional Academy (ie. CCAS)
The program will run annually where each athlete will be supported “off-beach or off-Surf” to assist in their Surf Sport discipline performance identified by Surf Life Saving NSW.
CCAS will work directly with the athlete cohort to help strengthen individual performance through areas such as Strength and Conditioning as well as other education components.
