The High-Performance Strength and Conditioning program emphasises long-term athlete development and education to produce the best-specialised training programs tailored to the specific needs of individual athletes or teams to optimise their physical performance and reduce the risk of injury. We manage athletes across multiple sports disciplines, all of whom are aiming to progress in their chosen sporting pathway.
The program incorporates functional testing, movement screening, athlete conditioning with a focus on focuses on enhancing athletes’ strength, power, speed, endurance, agility, and overall physical capabilities, training load management to provide a holistic approach and a service that is individually suited to promoting enhanced athletic development and a transferal effect for improved sports performance.
The training package is set to provide each athlete with an all-encompassing service, where all necessary aspects of strength and conditioning and education are incorporated into a week-by-week $55 package including:
Two supervised face-to-face sessions per week
Detailed periodised (annual) sports-specific plan
Session planning for each training block (6 to 8 weeks)
Exercise program upgrades every training block (6 to 8 weeks)
Exercise prescription for low/moderate/high-level conditioning, preparation and activation, and functional mobility
Recovery, nutrition, psychology, and media education sessions
Regular functional testing, power/speed/endurance testing on scheduled testing times

Our expert Strength & Conditioning team is dedicated to helping athletes reach their full potential through tailored training programs, cutting-edge techniques, and a strong foundation in sports science.
Head Coach – James Thornton
James is a certified Exercise Scientist and a Level 1 Strength and Conditioning Coach with extensive experience in the sports industry. His background includes working with the Hunter Academy of Sport, Central Coast Mariners (across Junior Academy, NPL, and A-League), and the NRL Rise Program.
Before transitioning into sports, James served five years in the Australian Army, specializing in aircraft maintenance. This experience honed his attention to detail and discipline, qualities he now brings to his current roles.
Currently, James is the Sports Program Manager and Allied Health Assistant at One Culture Support Services. In these roles, he establishes, develops, and delivers sports programs in collaboration with local sports clubs on the Central Coast, tailored for individuals living with disabilities. He also designs and implements Allied Health interventions.
James is passionate about helping people of all ages and abilities achieve their best, ensuring the process is both enjoyable and tailored to individual needs and goals. He values initiative, respect, integrity, and open communication and strives to embody these principles in all his interactions.

With their combined expertise, our coaches provide professional guidance to enhance athletic performance, prevent injuries, and support long-term athlete development.
The program runs in school terms February– December where athletes attend weekly face to face gym sessions, completing their personalised program in small groups of 6-8 people per session time.
