JULY 2019, the organisation known as Sport Central Coast is set to place another important foundation stone in the pathway of the sports industry for our region.  Launched late March 2019, Sport Central Coast is gaining significant traction in the region.  Formed to assist in the delivery of the Key Results Areas of the regions Sport and Active Recreation Plan, Sport Central Coast is already doing much to join the many stakeholders in a complicated and often complex industry.

On Wednesday 24th July the second ‘collaboration event’ will be staged at Mingara Recreation Club.  The theme of the evening was chosen based on participant feedback from the launch event, ‘Sports Marketing and Promotion’ is designed for every level of stakeholder involved from grass roots clubs, to sporting associations, to higher order representative teams.  Every participant involved in sport and active recreation can learn how to market and promote their athletes, clubs, events and teams better, to share ideas and to learn from some of the most respected names in the industry. Date: Wednesday 24th July, Venue: Mingara Recreation Club, Start Time: 6:30pm, Finish Time: 8:30pm, Cost: Free

Simon Smyth the Chairman of Sport Central Coast said of the upcoming event: “The topics to be covered are so relevant to everybody in sport I’m sure the content will really hit the mark.  Sport Central Coast is marking some important headway for the sports sector of the region, the event next week is further evidence of the work that is going on behind the scene.  Speakers’ include a wide cross section, some with professional experience to others working and volunteering in ‘club land’, each has a great story to tell and share.  Steve Allan will emcee the event and he alone brings an absolute wealth of professional experience to this topic area. Sport Central Coast is an organisation designed to bring the sport and recreation industry together and the event next week will again do that. It is important to say thanks and acknowledge Mingara Recreation Club, as the host venue for our second event their support makes this event happen.”

Ian Robilliard the Managing Director of the Central Coast Academy of Sport and Deputy Chair of Sport Central Coast said: “Sport Central Coast is developing very nicely, as a young organisation there is much to do, but the people involved are all very knowledgeable and all extremely committed to the sport and recreation industry of the region.  This organisation is one to keep an eye on, it will make a difference and it will definitely help unite the industry.  I personally can’t wait to be a part of another great event delivered for sport next week.  It really is very exciting times in the industry.”
