The Central Coast Academy of Sport Softball Talent Development Program operates as a development pathway for young Central Coast Region softballers aspiring towards state selection.
It offers advanced skill development and is conducted in collaboration with both the Central Coast & District Softball Association and Softball NSW. The program follows the FTEM Model of pathway development, from Foundation, Talent, Elite and Mastery of the sport. Participants are also provided with information in sports education in areas such as, sport psychology, nutrition, injury management, strength and conditioning and motivation.

Di Barrymore – Program Head Coach
Di has been actively involved in softball since 1982 and was awarded Life Membership of the Central Coast Softball Association in 2022 in recognition of her long-standing dedication to the sport.
She has been an accredited coach since 1999 and achieved her High-Performance Coach accreditation in 2018. Over the years, Di has coached multiple clubs and associations. In 2015 and 2016, she toured internationally with the Aussie Sparks organization to New Zealand, Los Angeles, and Hawaii.
From 1999 to 2006, Di was an assistant coach with the Hunter Academy Softball Program. Since then, she has been involved with various Softball NSW Regional Development teams and state camps.
