The Central Coast Academy of Sport is pleased to announce that Callaway Golf South Pacific has agreed to be the naming partner for one of the Academy’s most successful sporting programs. The Program, to be known as the Central Coast Academy of Sport Callaway Golf Program, is now under redevelopment with Callaway Golf taking a lead role with their support of the program.

Callaway Golf is well known for the premium quality and outstanding performance of their golf products and we are beyond pleased that these will now be available to athletes within the program. The company’s equipment can be found on all major professional tours with many PGA and European Tour players synonymous with the brand. This includes recent major winners, Henrik Stenson, Danny Willett and Lydia Ko, along with other well-renowned players such as Phil Mickelson, Patrick Reed and Tom Watson. Callaway also supports many local players and those just finding their feet in the professional ranks. This includes the likes of Marc Leishman, Danny Lee, Su Oh (recently named to the Australian Golf Team at the Olympics) and young guns Todd Sinnott and Curtis Luck.

Callaway Golf is a company founded on visionary ideals and is ‘engineered’ to be an industry leader. Now in 110 countries world-wide Callaway Golf is a premium equipment brand that boasts a level of detail in research and design that is second to none. The Callaway mission and vision has remained the same from when founder Ely Callaway commenced the company in 1982; Callaway pursues advanced, innovative technologies designed to help golfers of all abilities, and it is this fact that still holds true today.

Ian Robilliard, Managing Director of the Central Coast Academy of Sport, said of the partnership: “it is fantastic news that Callaway Golf have joined the corporate team that supports the athletes of our region. Callaway has seen a gap in our market and were quick to take up the naming rights position of our highly successful Golf Program. To have a brand like Callaway Golf attached to our work brings significant benefit to the offering we can provide to our athletes and this is really exciting times for our golf program. I can’t thank Callaway enough as it means this program moves from strength to strength.”

Michael Gawne, the Marketing Manager for Callaway Golf South Pacific said of the partnership: “We’re very proud and excited to support the Central Coast Academy of Sport Golf Program. With similar aspirations to provide young male and female golfers with genuine opportunities and support towards further development programs, we see it as a fantastic fit for Callaway Golf.”

The Central Coast Academy of Sports would like to thank and acknowledge the support received from the following Business Partners:

NSW Government, The University of Newcastle, Mingara Recreation Club, Greater Bank, NBN Television, Oddball Marketing, Southern Cross Austereo (101.3 Sea FM and 107.7 2GO), Central Coast Council.
