The Central Coast Academy of Sport ClubsNSW Basketball Squads are continuing their preparations for the upcoming ClubsNSW Academy Games with high level training session being the ‘call to action’ over the past month.  The CCAS has a wonderful history of success with the Basketball teams that have competed at the Academy Games winning all but two of the titles previously on offer.  Basketball has been a part of the Academy Games since inception and the teams, both boys and girls have had outstanding success in the competition.

In discussing the current teams chances of repeating the past success Drew Fenton the Head Coach of the CCAS said: “our teams always look forward to the ClubsNSW Academy Games, it is a great chance to see where their develop is when you play other Academies. I anticipate this year to be one of the hardest on offer due to the inclusion of the Hunter Academy, Northern Inland and South West Sydney, these Academies draw athletes from very strong basketball regions so this will make the 2016 event possibly the hardest since it started back in 2005.”

The ClubsNSW Central Coast Academy of Sport Basketball squads train every Wednesday at the Central Coast Adventist School preparing for the ClubsNSW Academy Games, fingers crossed there performances will mirror the great Central Coast teams of the past.
