Hunter and Central Coast Academies of Sport have come together to compete against one another in the Inaugural Inter-Academy Golf Day held at Magenta Shores Golf Course on 19th January which has seen the results of the days play come down to the wire.

The day saw teams of two pitted against a team from the opposing academy in a ‘Ryder Cup’ style format. After a great day of intense golfing action HAS bested CCAS by just two stable ford points, taking it home 265-263, which demonstrates the high level of talent both Academies have produced. The day also saw CCAS pair Jye Crowe and Charlie Bright take out best pair with a terrific score of 45 points.

The day was finished off with a wonderful barbecue provided by Magenta Shores and a presentation from Magenta Shores Golf Club General Manager Roger Morris highlighting the success of the day.

Emily Burgess-Moore Athlete Services and Events Coordinator of CCAS said: “We have had a great turnout today from both CCAS and HAS which is great to see. It is such a pleasure to plan and organise an event like this when you get to play on such a magnificent and picturesque course as Magenta Shores.”
