THE Central Coast Academy of Sport’s Mingara One Swimming Program is officially underway after the squad’s orientation on Wednesday, 23 March. The orientation was held at Mingara Recreational Club, which saw new and exciting talent coming into the squad, along with the familiar faces returning.

Graeme Carroll will fill the Head Coach role for the fourth year running, who is instrumental in the running of the Central Coast Academy of Sport Swimming Program. Graeme’s outlook on the squad: “It looks to be a very promising group, with the combination of youth and experience set to create a strong, positive training environment.”

Graeme’s abundance of experience in Olympic and Paralympic Swimming coaching allows him to pass on a strong knowledge to his athletes. Working alongside Graeme will be Shane Shepherd, who will take on the role of Assistant Coach for the second year straight.

As part of the CCAS Swimming Program, the athletes will be using superb facilities, including Mingara One Pool and Peninsula Leisure Centre.

The Central Coast Academy of Sport would also like to announce the addition of our newest official supplier for the Swimming Program, Coast Sport Physio. Brett Dorring and Matt Cranney, Directors of Coast Sport Physio, attended the Swimming Orientation to provide an insight on what benefits Coast Sport Physio offers to CCAS Athletes.
