DECEMBER 2020, The Central Coast Academy of Sport and Mingara Recreation Club have continued their impressive Partnership till 2022. Mingara as a founding partner see’s their involvement with the Central Coast Academy of Sport now span eighteen years of continuous support.
Mingara well known for their contribution to the communities in which they operate, the organisation truly has made ‘a significant contribution to the Central Coast Academy of Sport’. With the partnership support of Mingara ‘penned’ in November the numbers delivered in a year of crises have been nothing short of remarkable.
Since inception in 2004, the total number of athletes supported by the CCAS is 3,915 with a gender balance this past year slightly skewed to the females with 52% of participants as women and 48% as men. In total during 2020, 343 athletes were engaged across 14 CCAS sports programs, this represents a 37% increase in participation to the previous year. In a year like no other to have achieved participation and engagement numbers like this is simply remarkable and made possible through the generous support of organisations like Mingara.
Daniel Pinkstone the General Manager of Mingara Recreation Club said of the partnership renewal, “Mingara is proud to continue to support the Central Coast Academy of Sport located at Mingara Regional Athletic centre with in – kind and cash funding that is extremely significant. The Central Coast Academy of Sport shares our Vision to make a significant contribution to the quality of community life, and together we have provided athletes in our local community opportunities to achieve their best.”
The Central Coast Academy of Sport is extremely grateful to have the backing of Mingara, an organisation so deeply rooted in the community. The Academy closes for Christmas and the organisation takes a breather between Tuesday 22nd December and Monday 11 January.
