JUNE 2019, Applications for the new Central Coast Academy of Sport Touch Football Program close this Friday 28th June.

The Touch Football Program has had a change of direction, with Karley Banks coming on board as Head Coach. Athletes will receive expert coaching in clinic style sessions designed to assist the athletes with further representative selection. The athletes will also have access to a Functional Movement Screening with Coast Sport. The screening consists of seven movement patterns where  athletes are scored and ranked for their risk of injury and dysfunction or performance limitations. The athletes will also take part in education seminars covering Nutrition and Integrity in Sport. Mingara One have come on board to put the athletes to the test in the state of the art Mingara One Fitness gym.

Robyn Low-Hart, the CCAS Programs and Communications Manager said of the new program “I am really excited to offer a revamped Touch Football program to athletes on the Central Coast – The last program was very successful, and we want to build on from that. The program this year runs from July to September, lining up with representative selection. We want to provide the athletes with the best set of skills possible to take on the demands of such selections. Having a program with high level coaching along with the other components in the program, will assist in the delivery of these goals.”

The program is open for nominations until close of business this coming Friday 28th June. Applications can be found at https://thinksport.com.au/programs/touch-football/
